The train station was emptied as the train for 402 to the Kateyori Terminal drifted off into the sunset. The debris of trash drifting in the air and the stagnant and pungent smell of scrap filled the air. The blank silence became a catalyst throughout the distilled and alone stood a brandish male wearing a pair of a black shorts, a sweatshirt that read, " U K ", a black skull cap, and a pair of dirt-covered low-top converses. He carried along his back a messenger bag filled with clothes for the weekend even a long bag in which carried a baseball bat and in his arm he carried a skateboard in which his father gave him a month before he died. Yoi closed his eyes and looked towards the sunset his cold emerald green eyes calculating each second as the sunset embodied the sky as he lowered his head and thought of the very reason he found himself at this train station at this very second..

This is your Auntie Yoi I know it has been very difficult since your father died with taking over both the Bakery shop and the Blacksmith shop, but I'm sure Tsuragi and Mary are helping you out a lot. The letter inscribed two small picture of everyone around the dinner table smiling happily and also picture of them all playing a heated game of baseball. Yoi was embarrassed about how selfish he had been for so very long it had been a year since his father died and not once had he ever went to see his family. Always alienating himself off from that aspect of life and transcribing some excuse to not write back..

He set his skateboard down on the ground placed his foot upon tail of the board and lifted his headphones from his neck and planted them on his head and pressed play on his MP3 and slide the volume key up to the max. The guitar chords radiating from the headphones loudly as Yoi bounced his head up and down to the sundering string of noise repeating the words of the songs of the vocalist,

Shina ran through the station, across the eleventh platform. The train she was supposed to catch was late, and so was she. A new highspeed train blocked her path, and she cursed to herself. A minute later, it left the station, and Shina ran on. The hoard of passengers that was there a mere fifteen minutes ago were gone, leaving the young girl there running through a seemingly empty station. The train pulled into the station slowly, like it was old. The evening rush, Shina thought, is the time all the old trains come in. It seems like they're all going to bed, in the evening light. Let's keep going, her legs told her. Let's get on the train, and then you can rest. Shina finished her train of thought, and ran towards her train as people started to flow back into the station slowly. She didn't notice the man in front of her as she ran into him on her way to her train.

"I-I'm so sorry for running into you, but I really have to go" she stammered at him. A closer look at him showed that he was only about 16, which was younger than she thought, he was right near her train, so Shina thought he was going on her train. Shina hoped she hadn't injured him badly, but she felt energy leaving her fingers, and assumed that she got him with her mutation. Great, another thing to add to my list of bad stuff I did away from home, she thought glumly. "Now boarding train 681 to --." The intercom was cut off by the noise of trains coming in. So Shina, not wanting the man to get run over by the people coming off the trains in about 30 seconds, pulled him up off the ground. She started off towards the train again, as it was now there.

"Hey watc-" The minor stumble upon the platform did not stagger Yoi, but as he felt her touch. His mind began to meld with her energy and in a matter of seconds Yoi vanished into a deep meditation. His consensus shrouded him a white room only a large TV monitor in front of him and as he took a few minor steps forward the TV sprung forth only static at first, but as he continued to approach the TV it began projecting memories. Yoi stumbled in apathy, but as clarity began to spring eclipse he noticed in one memory it placed the same young girl that bumped into him in a scene and the word that lifted from her voice was, "D-N-C" and as he watched the scene being projected on the scene a sense of horror began to shroud him like a veil.

"She must have these powers like me.."[/color]

A deep ringing screeched through the back of his mind, "Ahh..Gah.."[/color] The white room began to tear and darkness began rend through the ripples as the room began to spiral, "What am I?"[/color]

"Now boarding train 681 to --." He felt a tug on his arm and as he began to stand upwards from the help of a friendly patron his arms began to open and to his examination it was the young woman from the memories. Before she could run away he grabbed her hand, " I know what you are.."[/color] He mumbled from his mouth...

Shina was somewhat worried and confused. The boy she had ran into had just said he knew what she was. The only way he would know that was if he was a mutant, and the energy that Shina had felt leaving her fingertips must have affected him. Once, she touched one of her brothers, who was also a mutant, and he said that she was a mutant. But he didn't know at the time what she was, and that was after she had been running quite a bit. Shina figured that whatever affected him affected the boy she ran into. "But I know what you are" she replied casually, like this was a normal conversation. She realized that he had grabbed her hand so she couldn't run. "What-" and then she realized a group of people had gathered waiting for them to move. Shina continued pulling him up since the crowd might get suspicious. You never know with this sort if thing.

"Don't do anything if you don't want to be revealed. Just grab my sleeve like you're getting up. If you're getting on 681 like I am, we can talk on the train," she whispered at a almost silent tone. Shina continued to pull him up, and tried to not touch his skin directly, since she didn't know if touching his skin again would do what it did a minute earlier. The crowd continued standing there as she pulled him up. Odd, she thought confused. Why haven't they moved away. I got him up, so most people would have just walked away. The people just came closer to the two, completely circling them. Something's wrong with these people, she thought. Gotta do something fast, or they're gonna get us, she concluded. "Do you have any enemies, since if you do we're in trouble. These people have something wrong with them. So if they do anything like they are going to hurt us, go crazy" she whispered to the boy.

"Another person with powers like me.."[/color] The thoughts of sharing this common gift astounded him, but as his grip loosened he released her arm. Soon after giving a simple smile, " I'm such a clutz.."[/color] trying to play off what all happened as if a simple mistake. Yoi casually picked up his things and nodded towards the young woman, "Come on..[/color] He stepped into the train gave a slight look back towards the woman, " I'm in box-car 27..meet me there.."[/color]

Yoi turned forward and took a few steps forward and turned down a hallway and vanished into a rail-way cart.

Upon entering the cart he began placing his things away and sat patiently the only thing comforting him was the skateboard he continued to slide side to side under his feet. " If one person has powers like me..that means..there are plenty more.."[/color] He held up his hand to the window as the sunset finally left the distant sky the cold embrace of the moon filled the darkened skies. His breath became hollow as he inhaled deeply feeling the draw-back of entering the memories of another and projecting them, " I must have my answers answered..what are these powers..and what am I?"[/color]

Shina was confused. She must have hallucinated sonething, since there were no people around her, and she could hear the boy saying something to her quietly. The experience with the energy must have jumbled up my head, Shina concluded. Composing herself, she remembered the boy saying he was in car 27, her car. She walked to the door to car 27, opened it quickly and slammed it shut. A quick look around showed her the boy's little seating block. Running over, she slid in quietly and took the window seat across from him. "Found you," she joked to him.

"Let me see, where were we now," Shina said as she tried to remember what he said earlier. "Ok, let's see, we were discussing what each other were. And if I'm correct, you're a mutant." She spoke in a hushed tone since there were other people in the car. "Obviously you're a mutant since I affected you with an accidental energy burst of mine from my running into you. Question is, did you by any chance end up in a white room full of memories in your head?"

He continued to stare towards the dark sky as it embraced the frigid embrace of the moon" We were at the part where you know our energies melded and I saw your memories and you explain to me everything about 'what' we are and who you are..and we try and figure out what to do from there.."[/color] His words were cursed with a bit of happiness, but yet he continued to hold a cold appearance despite in reality being a perverted knucklehead. His thoughts were as warped as she mentioned the white room, " I did end up in a white room, but it isn't what your thinking my abilities are based around my thoughts and emotions so I guess when you hit me I was able to read your memories..they were a bit sketchy, but one thing I remember was you..you mentioned something and your face when you said it was horrorified and if don't mind I really want to know what it meant.."[/color]he removed his hand from the frame of the window and looked around for any prying eyes they were relatively empty in the back of the box-car, but you could never be too sure, ""What does D-N-C mean?"[/color]

Shina cleared her throat and checked the car like the boy for prying eyes. There were none there, so Shina continued to answer the boy in a hushed tone. "Well, you must have either not heard the S or I didn't say it in my memories. Obviously if you got in my head you know my name, but I'll cut to the chase. DNCS stands for Department of Non-Human Corrective Services, a place where scientists do creepy stuff to mutants they capture. Always teenagers mind you, but then you're not safe in any way. You know that edge of the city about two miles away where you can't go is their HQ." Shina had explained quite a bit to a boy only three years older than her who ten minutes ago didn't know of other mutants.

She closed the top of their window as the train started to move away from the platform, gaining speed fast. Her hair whipped as she closed it. Standing up, she shoved her suitcase on the luggage rack. "So, where are you going and what's your name," Shina asked the boy. More people started to enter the car as they talked, the front cars filling up. "Since you didn't know until I came along, there are quite a few mutants out there. Not that it's likely you'll find them that easily, but there are more besides me and you," she explained to the boy.

Yoi gave a quickened sigh, " I didn't know we had to be super technical about one S, but what your telling me is that I have a group of scientist or whatever cult guys kidnapping people all around city with our powahs?"[/color] He lowered his head and then soon came upwards with a distilled look of agony, "This is gonna be a long school year it seems.."[i/] His hand motioning towards his noggin he began scratching at it obsessively taking the news quite well actually than maybe she nor him could have imagined really. Yoi was always one to know their was always a catch and having powers must have some type of ridiculous clause that says, "Well apart from having magical abilities the government is gonna wanna experiment on you.."[/color]

" I'm headed outside of town to visit some relatives..I guess I can hold on saying..well I can't see you guys anymore because the government wants to put me in a lab and experiment on me and by the way the name is Yoi Saito I own Luminance in the food district you may of heard of the place its one of biggest bakeries there.."[/color]

[Shina Ochi]

Shina listened as Yoi spoke. "Well sometimes they don't know who you are, so it's harder to capture and experiment on you. Oh I've heard of Luminance my mom got a cake there once. My names Shina by the way" she said, answering him. She thought for a few moments. It was certainly an odd day, she thought. Wonder when it's going to end, Shina added to herself. "What do you do?" Shina said in a low whisper, so only Yoi could hear. "I make energy bursts and stuff using energy gain from movements" she added.

The intercom on the train sounded as the doors slid shut. The boxcar was about half full now, mostly of tired middle aged men and woman going home from work in the city. A man in a long brown coat walked down the aisle with a bulge in the armpit of his left arm. Shina knew what he was doing almost instantly. He was some sort of undercover cop, government agent, or a bounty hunter. "I should have paid more attention to the wanted signs in the city" she muttered somewhat worried and angry under her breath.
