TWENTY-ONE ✖ MALE ✖ HETEROSEXUAL ✖ MUTANTS ✖Power/Ability Umbrakinesis - The ability to control all forms of darkness. The darkness is his element and with it he is able to thrive and survive. Daisuke is capable of manipulating shadows or if given the right elements, able to create shadows himself seemingly out of nothing. These shadows can shroud enemies in darkness and cause them to be blinded. Not only that but he has recently learned his ability to solidify these shadows and make use of them as weapons. So be wary if he suddenly creates a shadow in the form of a sword. It's not just for show. It has also been discovered that he can blend in well with shadows or any other form of darkness to the point it may very well be camouflage as it is extremely difficult to spot him unless you can brighten up the darkness. Not only can he hide but he can also travel through them or rather, teleport. He cannot simply move to a completely random area however. In order to travel he must be able to visualize the area he wishes to travel to and the area must not be bathed in total light. Shadows are essentially the key to his teleportation. The only way to fight off his darkness is the opposite, light. When using his powers, light can physically hurt him and he is rather sensitive to extreme brightness regardless as to whether he is using his abilities or not. ✖ Personality At first glance, many would see Daisuke for merely his appearance. Coming off as the typical bad boy your parents warned you about, Daisuke is often avoided by the intimidated or challenged by the power or attention seekers. The fact that he more often than not remains distant and aloof doesn't help much either. But that's only because he doesn't have much people to talk to. At least not without said person fearing he'd hurt them and running away or challenging him to a fight. But as the saying goes, you can't really judge a book by it's cover. In reality, Daisuke is actually a pretty nice guy. A welcoming and open man, it's rather easy to get along with him if you give him the chance. As far as he's concerned, most people have potential to be friends which is why he treats strangers as old buddies and would gladly help them out if they needed it. Ultimately he is a friendly, lighthearted, and funny guy who's always up for making new friends, especially those who share a similar fate as him. However, to assume this man doesn't have a bad side would be completely false. Given the right circumstance, the playful side of him turns dead serious if need be. Especially when regarding to his dirty little secret that he's actually a mutant. He knows when to act his age and keep his eyes out for any threats. He's also very protective of those close to him and it would be a grave mistake to ever try to harm one of them while he's around. He'll fight to protect them and if it comes to it, he would willingly take a bullet for them. He's known to be a fierce fighter and this only worsens with both his abilities and his short temper. And with his damn stubborn attitude, chances of him giving up are nearly impossible. Best advice? Don't ever try to be this guy's enemy. ✖ History It all started many years ago, back when the long lost city was struck with the strange life taking virus. Nearly everyone within the city border was killed. Nearly. There were 12 survivors, all of which being discovered to have a mutation in their DNA. But when doctors assured them it was harmless, they continued on with their lives, unaware of the fact that that they were being watched by the government nor that they were spreading their 'harmless' mutation. But what could they possibly do had they known? As generations passed, so to was the mutation passed down. It wasn't long before a young couple was surprised to find they had a baby coming. He was born happy and healthy, his parents marrying shortly after to make sure their child would be raised in a good family home. His first few years of his life were relatively easy. But it wasn't long before the young Daisuke began to notice something strange about himself. Something he couldn't quite understand. When most boys hit puberty, their voices start changing, they get taller, hair starts growing in funny places, and they start to smell. Daisuke, on the other hand, went through a different series of changes. His parents passed it off as natural changes that came with growing up, assuring him it was nothing to worry about. He simply trusted them, trying to ignore the abnormalities. Of course that all changed one day when he discovered something that was anything but normal. He was able to physically touch and manipulate his own shadow. However, being scared of people's reaction should they find out, his family included. So naturally, he tried to keep it hidden and try to discover how exactly he came to obtain them. After discovering his powers, life became a little more stressful. He still wasn't used to his abilities and it wasn't too rare for him to suddenly find himself walking side by side with his shadow or for him to just suddenly disappear into one. It was getting harder and harder to keep it hidden. If that wasn't enough, his parents began to fight, their shouting and arguing becoming a normal thing in the household till his mother finally walked out on them, leaving him alone with his father. It was actually the last time he's seen her in a long time, now only getting the rare letter from her telling him about her life without them and being motherly enough to ask how he was doing. Of course, he never had the chance to reply, his angered father destroying the letters not long after he received them. Things only seemed to get worse with time before he finally couldn't take it anymore and moved out when he had the chance, starting a life on his own as he tried to look for answers and learn to gain better control over his abilities. A few more years passed and we come to the present day, a man who few people know and many other's would rather avoid him, Daisuke is older now and has matured physically, mentally, and lastly in his abilities. He has much better control over his powers, capable of doing things he couldn't even begin to imagine. But still, his fight for answers continues on. But it seems he is starting to piece together just why he and so many others like him were cursed with these powers. But perhaps snooping too close into what the government has been trying to keep hidden is more dangerous than he realizes... ✖ Example Abusing admin privileges?
