Dorian travels a lot for his job and keeps quite busy, despite his carefree appearance. His friends are usually fleeting, seasonal things. During his life he’s lost friends to distance, differences and purposeful or accidental irreparable arguments. For a very long time he didn’t quite understand the concept of lasting friendship. He didn’t mind either, because it was so easy to make new friends and enjoy them for however long that was. He’s very easy to befriend and he’ll keep in contact if you don’t just forget him when he’s not there, but that only lasts so long in his experience and it’s not like he doesn’t get distracted. However, over the last few years he’s managed to make more stable friendships. He’s not a very many serious friends type, but can truly invest his attention and consideration only into a handful of them so he doesn’t pick those lightly. Currently, the only real friend he’s got is Aurelia, a married makeup artist who is on maternity leave, and he loves her dearly and not even in an erotic way! Another person he’s closer to is a fellow actor called Joel. He and Joel are partners in crime in the club and whenever the both of them are in the same room, it’s like witnessing a duo comedy act. Regardless, he’ll be your buddy at the drop of a hat if you’re up for some fun and adventure! Just don’t pick on Aurelia’s ingrown toenail, he might have to try giving you one as well.
He has plenty of these, but most of them are just bark and no actual fight situations. Rivals of the stage, people whose partners he may have stolen or vice versa, people he may have disliked and purposefully started pestering. Although he enjoys creative confrontation, he’s not much for violence, opting to keep his distance from people with a known temper and aggressive disposition. If he does make versatile enemies he’ll employ every last trick in the book when fighting with them, from poison to actually pretending friendship and messing with the other’s relationships. There have only been two cases where the situation got out of hand and he was In a position of kill or be killed, one of them being his first run in with a government operative who hated mutants with a passion and often “accidentally” killed them when trying to make a capture. Both are stories he’s never told anyone. Dorian responds to cruelty with sadism of his own. So tempt him only if you must!
Many and varied. The saying that “everyone sleeps with everyone” in the film business can be confirmed by Dorian. Most of his affairs are casual things. He may have initiated something because he liked how someone smelled or they had an interesting attitude towards him. Easy to attract and definitely up for anything so long as the person is attractive in some way or another, his attention is not that hard to catch. The problem here lies in keeping it and getting him interested in you and not just what he can do with you. If there’s one thing you can be sure of, it’s that he’s as dramatic, passionate and nonconventional in this department as he is everywhere else. Even though he’s quite casual about it, he’s never with more than one person at a time, if someone’s actually drawn him into a relationship. He’s only had two of those that could be considered serious and he hasn’t been fully in love with either of the people. He’s definitely possessive, so don’t go making him nasty by cheating unless you’re up for repercussions. If he finds you interesting, beware of his persistent stalking and attentions! Man doesn’t know how to give up chasing. As for what he would be like if he’d actually fall in love… we’d have to see about that!
Others
Acquaintances and whatever else. Not much to say here really, things are what they are and they can develop into anything else. If any other mutants want to recruit him for their purposes, they’re welcome to try and we can work out a situation where they find out he’s one as well. Dorian’s a bit of a wild card though and he’ll likely not do anything he doesn’t want to unless he’s being blackmailed with something.
The above is pretty much extra info about Dorian. If you want your character to be a co-worker, rival, an old lover or whatever else we can talk about it! But I prefer having things develop in threads. Definitely no planned friendships and romances.
