Apologies for the delay, I've had some things to attend to. Well, if you want him to die in this whole thing, I could turn Eluard's spectator status into full on mission to sabotage. Perhaps while your character is being forced to fight, technical difficulties would suddenly happen : P. It could turn into a full on fight between the arena bound mutants who suddenly have free cages and the NPC's people.
We can see how it turns out.
Not sure what to suggest for Navvi myself.

LoL. No worries on delay. It's a meandering pace on the board right now, anyway.
But, yeah. I don't intend to string the NPC character along for too long. If he wasn't meant to be expendable, I'd make another account for him. Having things devolve into complete chaos at the end sounds like fun. LoL.
As for ze robot... well, he's resistant to electricity and part of the DNCS. That seems like a nice combination to have to be the one that beats Lee, causes the plug to be pulled, and also grants initial status of DNCS as the enemy to her. Not sure if that's the kinda thing you'd want to have him do, though. I suspect he'd have a lot of mutant observation potential down in the pits, which might be a good reason for him to appear in the first place. I also suspect, being a robot and all, that he wouldn't mind Lee hating him for the final result of things. xD Not sure if any of this would play into the development of Navvi's personality or the hidden "default" personality you mention in his profile.

I've got an idea for why Navvi would be there, on two fronts, and what it would do. But I think I can work in some character development for Navvi, though I want to keep it under wraps for the moment if you don't mind.
So may I post in there? Any stipulations, details I should know about?

Oh, haha, I didn't realize you were talking about the open thread I posted, specifically. I was thinking in terms of the general mini-arc. In any case, the "setup" all took place in the minutes prior to the post itself, so everything moving forward in that thread is completely up for grabs. If you wanna jump in, go right ahead. As for any details or stipulations... er... there are cameras posted on any light poles along the docks, specifically to record whatever happens in the fight. Also, be aware that Lee's quite spook-able, so she may abruptly run away at any given time. Not right off, but once the thugs are dealt with. And... these guys and the boss guy character don't have any idea about any super cool robots, so whatever Navvi does, he would still be regarded as a human/mutant or something along those lines, but likely won't be identified at all.

Well, if you want to do a different thread for Navvi, I'd be fine with it. It's up to you.

I'm cool with folks just jumping into the current one. I don't have any immediate other ideas of where to put her at the moment. e_e;;

Okay, now I am the one who's a little confused. Is that the starter thread? I expected it to happen at the underground base with an arena of sorts and stands for spectators and etc.
I could actually start that one if you like, or if it even gets to it anymore. In my vision, Lee would be waiting for the gate into the arena to open so she can battle someone else who would be entering the stage from another location. The boss would be seated somewhere central and up, overlooking everything.
Is this setting no longer required?

Nah, it just makes it so Lee has to show up underground for that bit, and yeah, you can make a thread if you like depicting it. The purpose of the Setting the Hooks thread was simply to establish that Lee was gonna be doing the underground thing. And... it was to act as an open thread just cuz activity was low. ^_^; You could... sorta consider it a prequel thread, not a started thread.

Not anything changed, just a question - is the riot to happen on the "first night"? I was of the mindset that the chaos that ensued from that would mark the ending of the undergroun, so I was thinking I should write a response in a way that depicts Leann already being "known/seen" to those gathered.

I didn't really consider that. Initially I thought that night would be the night, but now that you mention it, the first night could be just "the setting of the stage." Eluard and his men could see that there's a lot to do here to make things defect and that evening they could work on creating the conditions for the upcoming boom that will enable a riot.
Maybe at the end of the night (after Lee fights and becomes known) he would even visit the mutants in their holding cells (specifically her) too? She could think he's just there to mock the suffering, like the other patrons of the arena. Or whatever applies.

Hmmm... well, I think I'll play it a little in the middle, in terms of Lee's notoriety. That is, perhaps the crowd will talk about the new "pet" the boss has. I'll play on that bit with her appearance in the next post. And the post-festivity visitation sounds fun, too. LoL. In terms of the actual sabotage, feel free to design the "guard posts/routes/layout" as you like. I kinda envision an uprising from the... underground of the underground, so to speak. xD

Dun dun dun. I'm really enjoying your whole underground plot idea with Leann aaand I'd like to throw Kaien in there somewhere. I'm definitely making him a "recent capture" that's been there for a while, subjected to awful treatment as well. If you'd like, he could be the one to defeat Lee and have her hate him as a result and then everything can go boom and ahhhh as Eluard's plans start tearing up the place.
I was thinking we can start a thread with Lee and Kaien having an arena face off and later in the thread (probably the time we finish the one with Lee and Eluard) I'll have Eluard come into the scene as well.
What do you think?

LoL... I'm glad it's, at least, partially entertaining. xD Mr. White Serpent currently feels like one of the most integral and important characters on the site, so it's more fun, to me, that he's directly involved in the mini-plot. Of course, the Lee/Eluard thread is far more depressing than is the Cass/Oscar one, but I guess that's the nature of the beast, right?
I think it'd be just dandy for Kaien to fill the role of "the hero that isn't, in her eyes" so to speak. She will definitely blame him for "killing" her mom, but given his power, what can she do? Haha. That's one of the scarier aspects of an arena-meeting, though. If he's in there sporting a sword... xD I mean, her bolts are pretty much all she has going for her when it comes to fighting (although, I guess you could say she is learning through "trial by fire" in the arena), so it's feasible he could kill her in one stroke.
I guess the primary question is, how quickly do you want to reach the end game? I was kinda thinking that Lee would show up at the hospital for a "visit" (which is the main reason she's allowed to leave the underground in the first place; keeping that connection as strong as possible is one of the ways MV ensures that she cooperates... not that she recognizes that) and potentially run into Eluard there, for an interaction, but other than that, I'm not sure how many threads lead to "the end." If Kaien's power is known to the boss, then I'd imagine he wouldn't throw Lee into a match with Kaien until he/the crowd was tired of her, since a match against him is effectively suicide for her.
I don't necessarily see a reason to try to drag the plot out, though, since I don't believe any other characters intend to be involved in any way. I'm also interested in seeing what kind of relationship develops between Lee and the "White Serpent" after the fact. Although she'll be blaming Kaien directly for the death, in a way, she will also be viewing Eluard as the one who, whether he intended to or not, took revenge for her. LoL.
I also dunno if Tabloid plans on having Navvi do anything else in this, or if the interaction on the docks was "outside" of the mini-plot.
Also, on an unrelated note, I think Miriam will want to meet all of your characters at some point. As I said above, I feel like Eluard is a very "central" character, in terms of what I kind of view as the "overall plot" on the site, since Cry disappeared and the DNCS isn't yet functioning as a "global threat" so to speak, since razor vanished and the "assassins" aren't active, and since Argent is still missing and we haven't had a "global event" yet. I made Miriam sort of as a response to those circumstances, insomuch that she and the "Guardian" organization functions as a "go between" between all the various groups, and any others that manifest in the future. >_> Ok, time to stop rambling.

Nah, he wouldn't attack to kill. Even if he did, the plot fireworks would be set off before he deals any real damage But he's not... heartless and he would be known for his blatant disobedience towards MV. Not killing Leann if the boss wanted her dead would sort of be like a last offense of sorts. I like the hospital visit idea and have no idea how that will affect the plot, but am up for seeing how it goes. That just gave me an extra idea, though. If you're not against it, would you also like a "in the cells" or "in the hospital ward" (the one in the arena dome) moment for Leann and Kaien? That way, depending on what they discuss and the attitude they get towards each other, it would add drama for the "final battle"? Lawl. I can say MV is investing into keeping Kaien alive because he's the most likely thing in his possession to manage to defeat Lee enjoyably. We can drag it out as much as you like, I'm enjoying it. : D I've actually thought about Eluard wanting to meet Miriam because of her organization... but didn't mention it yet. So I definitely see him going to seek her out if he hears rumors of her operation. *moves to other plot thread to discuss this* Lol. Edit: Also, for the depressing aspect of the Lee/Eluard thread and probably threads to come, I enjoy the variety and have a taste for tragedy (if it wasn't obvious from what sort of pasts I give my characters, haha) so all's good from my perspective.
