Ah, plot pages... always fun times, right? >_>; In writing this, I reaffirm to myself that I must re-read the other plot pages and be more pro-active with both Cassidy and Lee. So... we'll sorta change up the usual formula a bit, methinks...

Schoolmates - So, a nice general category to start with. Once upon a time (as recently as a few in-game months ago), Leean was one of those starlet high school sweetheart celebrities. Gymnastics, softball, cheerleading, student council... cliques and entourages, the general social scene - all of that. She had a good reputation and a easy-to-like-and-love personality. But... all that is effectively gone, as she has gone into runaway-recluse mode since the discovery of her powers. Individuals that could fit into this groups include the expected classmates (including members of upper or lower classes), teammates, teachers, ect. It's a rather nondescript, typical menagerie of what one might expect when it comes to high school life. Friends, rivals, and the like. >_>; There's a question of the now ex-boyfriend that was the star pitcher of the baseball team and also the son of Leann's assailant on the yacht that might could be touched on, if one were so inclined, but those aren't "want ads" or anything. Whatever the case, approaching her may be a rather strained endeavor, as she's quick to run and, more or less, terrified of herself.

As an additional note, random townsfolk can fit in the general category as well. Just... ya know... without... the school things. >_>; Her extracurricular exploits, the accident with the yacht, and the "loss of a high school star" due to her withdrawal would be recognizable to those who paid any attention to local news outlets, methinks.

DNCS - Ah, the mutant hunters! Yes, Leann has, as in her writing example, blasted some folks. She hasn't been properly identified as per her first on-board appearance, but there's enough to cause some suspicion! Her electricity form runaway ability makes for long chases, and her ability is dangerous and, likely, interesting to the hunters as a general rule, so... if you'd like to chase, I'm sure something will come up. The electric trail will definitely be visible based on some things I plan for her to have to deal with in her "introductory arc" - details below.

Eh... I don't really know of any other "semi-definitive" sections to include. Friends, enemies, romances, ect - the normal categories can or can not fall into those sections, and I figure interactions will dictate how those usual roles will fill out. Just make a note if yer interested. ^_^

So... about that introductory arc I mentioned. Granted, this may be better placed in a "want ad" but... I don't have any specific character role wants. It's more to gauge interest in characters that might be involved in a mini-plot arc, I guess. The general outline goes like this:

Somewhere along the line, Leann will gain the attention of a devious individual with some amount of power and influence that would like to capitalize on her solitary vulnerability. Capitalize how, you might ask? This individual just happens to be involved in exploiting mutants and humans alike - in the underground/underbelly of the city, using those unfortunate enough to be caught in his/her grasp like the gladiators and slaves of ancient Rome - an underground Coliseum, where extravagant pit fights are put on, and this individual rakes in the cash off of the bets of the "higher class" spectators who come to observe and gamble on the spectacle. Each combatant forced to fight in these events comes in one of two fashions: volunteers and those, like Leann, whom the "devious one" is in control of. In Leann's case, this individual holds the plug keeping Leann's mother on life-support at the hospital.

Bottom line: Leann fights and wins? Mommy stays alive. If she loses or attempts to turn on this individual, the lights go out - permanently.

So, what's needed? Spectators, of course. That's always fun. Leann will be in costume, but there might be a chance some folks could recognize her with exposure to her both underground and "in normal life." (Or Delilah, with her mind reading >_> ) If someone really wants to create this "evil person" running the show, by all means. ^_^ Be my guest. If not? An NPC will suffice. Combatants are also an option, but in two forms: the first would be individuals that DO NOT fight Leann, but may mingle with her prior to stepping into the cage (or whatever other kind of battlefield has been set up for that night's festivities.) The second type would be a singular individual that does what none of the NPCs she'll fight before him/her could do: beat her. This is kind of a sticky request, I think... as, on the one hand, beating her will "free" her from her unhappy situation... but on the other hand, it will also result in her actually being an orphan, instead of only technically being an orphan. ^_^ Fun times, yes?

And last, but not least, if/when different factions are established, I encourage all of (the mutant-accepting) ones to tug on her strings. >_> She's gonna have faction-identity crisis issues once she's "free", so I think she'll be bouncing around a lot.

Maybe. ...I mean, all of this is subject to change based on the interactions. xD But there's my mess of brain-storming.

[Eluard Verlaine]

The activity of the underground evil person would be closely observed by Eluard. Although he's more of a shadow in the underground scene, always dealing with his associates in that sector in disguise, the other would probably be aware enough of his own activity (with purposes unclassified and not obvious) to have him in as a guest spectator.

So basically, Eluard would observe what's going on, disapprove in his own mind, and start plotting ways to free the innocent mutants / humans who are actually forced to fight in the arena. It's not in his favor that his "faction" isn't at all impressive yet and he doesn't have much intervention power. So there's room for a lot of frustration for him.

If no one makes the evil NPC, I'm up for writing for it, if you'd like someone else to handle him.

So, yeah. You've got one spectator and evil NPC handler (if necessary) for now.

Sounds fantastic. After reading your profile, I suspected there was a 99% chance Leann and Eluard would interact at some point, anyhow. If you'd like to give this "evil individual" a spin and a profile, by all means, be my guest. Feel free to be as cruel to the little lightning bolt with him/her as you like, as well. It's more fun when it's PCs instead of NPCs.

I could let you set the stage up for their relationship. But lets just say once Leann get's her head straight, they'll be going back to being rivals; but for now Delilah is going to be an anchor and bring her back to her sense when she shows her powers to Leann.

Fate to the rescue! >_> Er, or, maybe... in this case... Delilah? LoL. When you say "set the stage for their relationship", I'm thinking something in the way of a summary of how they've interacted before? I don't think I should decide all on my own how the two relate to/view each other, but I think we can come up with a good base of things to begin with. The rivalry thing is certain; just as them being teammates is certain, right? What position does Delilah play in softball? Lee was a pitcher and wasn't all that great at hitting... Thus, their softball relationship exists first as teammates, but could be completely cooperative (especially if Delilah played catcher, although any other field position would also suffice - bonus points if Delilah can knock the ball into orbit ^_^) or rivalry (if Del was also a pitcher - no one likes being behind the "ace" in the pitching staff, after all, and I think it's worse in softball, since - at least with the college teams - they like to roll with their "ace" like.. every damn game. ) Cheerleading would be easy to make a rivalry out of, since it's "she who lures the spotlight the strongest."

Additionally, with all the sports-related stuff, Lee used to be very vocal and ultra supportive, so when in "cooperative" mode, they could have been very close, and in "rivalry" mode, things might be fierce, but never tooth-and-nail or hateful. In fact, since she doesn't play, Leann probably used to show up at the school's soccer games to cheer Delilah and the others on.

Ummm.... brainstorming continuing...

I didn't really delve into student council ideas with Leann, other than figuring she was a part of it. Perhaps this is something else that can be fleshed out?

How good of a student is Delilah? One thing that could potentially have gotten on her nerves would be Leann directing other students to Del for tutoring. ^_^; Lee's not a great student, and she knows it, so she would have sent those seeking help to those more capable.

Another thing that could have gotten on Del's nerves, too, was the whole "clique/entourage" thing. As described in her profile, Lee was a "starlet", but... aside from the sports teams, she... didn't really have any anchors? I imagine she jumped from social group to social group on the hour during school, which could certainly have made her come off as flighty and/or insincere, which isn't the actual case, but certainly a potential observation.

Finally, Delilah's telepathy could definitely identify Leann under the mask when she's dealing with this "evil individual" and the underground fighting thing. I'm about 110% sure Delilah's no combatant, but it could prove interesting if she were in the audience at some point. Not sure how she would get there, though. LoL.

Yeah I was thinking of ways of how they would interact, I just wanted you to do the majority of the thinking //is double tapped your point of view before I jumped in. Just friendly rivalry, she did try out for pitcher but was told she would be better for catcher, so even though she has some resentment Delilah is still a team player, memorizing play bys and seeing how the field is being played out. But I could find that Delilah being better at batting than Leann, showing Leann that she doesn’t exalt at everything.

As for cheerleading then yeah, since Leann would probably have a better time getting the spotlight until she left the scene. And since Delilah is second child she doesn’t act it, so she found it unfair that Leann took a lot of the attention away from her.

Lol That’s a good friendship there, support when they both need it, e.i. softball, and then rivals, ei cheerleading.

With the council thing, maybe they both were running for the same thing, as usual, but maybe this was Delilah’s win? We can debate what they were running for, I always forget what positions that could be ran for (sadly APO positions are the only thing on my mind… yay for college fraternities.)

As for school, Delilah would actually have to study so she would cheat with her telepathy. She would end up getting a pretty good hunch that the flighty girl was sending people Delilah’s way. As for the whole clique thing, Delilah would see that, hearing the annoyance in not only people’s voices but also their minds, wondering why she would always jump around instead of staying steady with a group but also why she kind of just dropped off the radar of her own growing popularity.

As for the whole underground thing, Delilah could stalk her? Find where she lives and follows her to the underground fighting, possibly getting into trouble herself, she has the muscles to run away but not to stand ground.

LoL. ^_^ To the rescue nonetheless!

Pitcher/catcher relationship is super close. ^_^ *was pitcher in little league baseball and watches... too much... baseball....* In such a case, they would have been close, but in some instances, especially "state championship" or very stressful situations, they mighta been yelling at each other on the bench, some, about pitch choice. xD Especially since Delilah should have been able to read what pitch the batter was looking for and thus signal Lee to throw a different type of pitch. xD Being shook off when you know what the batter is thinking is probably aggravating as hell. On the other hand, steadfast signing from the catcher and some relenting from the pitcher that leads to an out, especially in stressful situations? That's worth it's weight in gold. ^_^

Cheerleading... check.

Student council. Hrm. It's a junior/sophomore thing now, so... what? Secretary? Treasurer? I dunno if I'd go so far as to VP, yet. xD I imagine a further irritation would be, Del wins, and then Lee has this nice little congratulation speech she gives that still puts a lot of the spotlight on her... >_> Until she "vanishes" anyway. LoL.

The other school stuff sounds good. If she tapped Lee's mind about the bouncing around, though, she'd also see that Lee was just "trying to be available to everyone." ...Everything to everyone? Like the Everclear song...

And, LOL @ stalker. ^_^ But it makes sense, right? Someone so entwined in the "important stuff" is suddenly AWOL? Delilah would likely be incredibly suspicious about Lee's absences from summer cheerleading camp, and even more so if the softball team does any summer drills. =B

Everybody would get annoyed with their arguments, especially when they knew Delilah knew what she was talking about and they needed the pair to corporate, in the bench area until a settlement would come along with the duo. I would bet everyone would be scared of these two since when they would put their differences aside they had great team work. XD I can see the Leann getting mad that Delilah was ‘thinking’ of something else trying to get the batter thrown off guard.

15 to 16 are freshmen, so they would be sophomores… Well for me anyways, stupid school system… I’m looking through a list, they could’ve tried to dish out for social chairperson? Lol after the announcement tight handshakes from both sides.

Yeah, I can see that for friends, so Delilah would have a smidge of compassion for Leann.

XD I couldn’t think of a better word! But Delilah would be curious, she would probably try to stop her too, probably meddling and getting them both in trouble.

No, I mean, if no one makes him as a PC, I can write him as an NPC in the thread in question. : P

Eluard will just be fussing to get to the muants in the arena and get as many of them out of there. If the situation ends up as Leann being freed, he'll jump right in to let her know she has where to go from there. Also, he works at the hospital. Maybe if Leann sobs about it and says how her father is about to be disconnected he could intervene? Maybe he won't make it in time. Sounds like fun anyway!

✖ NORBEX - Oh, my bad. I misinterpreted. LoL. But that's fine. Since you're going away for a week, I'll just leave the NPC-in-question as a question, in case someone does want to create him/her. If you get back before anyone bites, we'll go with NPC and get the ball rolling. I also figure that, in most cases, I can write for the NPC just by forcing Leann to have to tag along with him for meetings, as a trophy or some nonsense. We'll figure it out. ^_^; Also, it's her mama that's plugged in; she has no idea who her dad is. Stupid one night stands. lol.

It's all good. We can let it simmer until you get back, anyhow. If no one takes a stab at the NPC, an NPC he shall be, with the benefit that its easier to kill him off once we get to the end of it. xD I suppose other interactions - i.e., combatants, ect. - will filter in spontaneously if no one else posts here in this thread. But, yeah, I'll start something once ya get back. In the meantime, Lee's got at least one distraction to play with. I've got lots to do for work and studying for my licensing exams, anyhow.

Welp... since you're back, Norbex, and since everything's been and still is rather quiet, I'm going with the assumption that the character pulling the strings shall be an NPC. I went ahead and described him here:

The fun times of this is, since he's an NPC he's ultimately expendable, which I think is just great. LoL. I'll pilot him through Lee's account (with her forced presence) for interacting with Eluard. I'm not quite sure what his "power level" is, in terms of any real faction-specific stuff, but, recently, I was thinking that, perhaps, the death of this guy at the end of this little story could really upset the balance of power in the underground in Eluard's favor? >_> I dunno, let me know what you think, or if there are any specifics and such you want to incorporate or any other ideas ya have. LoL, regrettably, it kinda looks like we have lots of board space to play with right now.
