FRIENDS . FRIENDS . FRIENDS . FRIENDS So, you want to try and befriend this kid? Seriously? Getting close to Airi is rather hard to begin with. Also, he nitpicks and can make rather scathing criticisms about everyone, so don’t take anything personally. It's what he calls having a sense of humor. That leads us to another thing about him. He has a, frankly, just plain odd sense of humor, for example he tends to abuse his own ability to give others the illusion that he is not what he seems; a 14 year-old girl or some form of panda being his most favored, for some unknown reason. It ensures at least that it's rather difficult to actually guess his gender, which may or may not be the goal. either way, confusing and therefore annoying the hell out of people is his idea of "fun."It's been mentioned that perhaps he's slightly unhinged. Whether or not this is true, he still retains this overly peculiar sense of humor of his, as shown by the fact that he seems to find all of the above highly amusing. Why being mistaken for a girl is quite so funny, I have no idea. There aren’t many people out there who can honestly call him a “good friend”. It’s possible in theory, but being acquaintances or remaining on neutral ground is much easier when dealing with this kid. Airi does enjoy talking about creatures of Japanese mythology, or simply unusual topics in general in that naturally soft toe of his that he assumes others find to be "cute" and may be able to garner some appeal that way. He's polite in general around people though, and for the most part rather charming, or rather he words his sentences in a way that strongly implies this, whereas his occasional criticisms and teasing here and there completely contradict this, as well as that know-it-all edge that he can't seem to knock from his tones when speaking. He is fully aware of what he's doing, however, despite his naivety being completely genuine, if played up a bit, and acts as such merely for his own amusement. Another example of his odd sense of humor. ENEMIES . ENEMIES . ENEMIES . ENEMIES . ENEMIES Honestly, Airi doesn’t really hate anyone, but others could certainly find reason to hate him. With a tendency to make scathing remarks and harsh criticisms, all the while without taking that amused smile off his face, he is bound to offend someone. Also, his seemingly limited range of emotion may annoy a few people as it really is impossible to know quite what the fourteen-year-old is thinking, whereas he appears to understand even the most unreadable (if that makes sense? o.o) of people, to an irritatingly large extent. Partly due to his frankly disturbingly observant tendencies as well as his ability, it is rather difficult to hide particular feelings from him, as a general rule. OTHERS . OTHERS . OTHERS . OTHERS . OTHERS Airi can be quite polite and almost pleasant to be around. He forces himself to show the slightest hint of a genuine smile (in contrast to his standard, which he seems to display without any true emotion other than mild amusement) at others’ jokes though rarely makes any himself unless at another's expense. While not much for small talk, Airi makes for a rather good debate partner and will challenge the opinions of others without reserve. He can sometimes seem to take sadistic pleasure in watching others struggle to make good arguments and become aggravated. [/style] |
