I want the feds to become a true threat on this board. We need drama. Mor fights, captures, escapes etc. I'm asking anyone interested to enlist. We need operators, agents, scientists and the like. Anything else in the department is NPC status.
-Cheers

I kind of intended on Felix being a part of this agency of Stark's if he'd be acceptable. He's an experiment turned field agent who searches for mutants and can help retrieve them if needed but for the most part simply an experiment since he was born with the virus inside of him. It's dormant though and unless they can find a way to activate it, the most use he'll be is for testing or extracting his DNA to see the virus for examination purposes. Otherwise I'll just put him as a dog for another agency XD

Well, I've got my little Italian here, if she'd be of use? A respected geneticist in a few social circles within the government, she's an expert in her own field, and also seems to obsess over the possibility of any form of human genetic modification. The prospect of mutants fascinate her, and though she won't purposefully mistreat them, she'll do as she's told for the most part and sees them as the key to basically giving select people supernatural abilities to ensure that the nation's military is second to none. Whether that's the government's plan or not, she sees it as a great way to become exceedingly rich exceedingly fast. She'll happily experiment on mutants of all ages, basically, to see what makes them tick.

Felix... A minor trained and used by the government? I LOVE IT! I'd like it if he were field agent status for now. Maybe fast track for Op training. For now he's definitely being used for attempted virus recreation. Hell it would make sense that if they can alter genes enough, he'd be the first attempt once they believe they have something solid to test. He has the dormant DNA, which means activation is easier with the virus being the catalyst and he's already immune.
Again, I realize there will be no recreation. Just needed something extreme and evil going on to get things rolling
If you're game I have alot of government ops going on at the moment. Hadley Stark, Evron Glower, Cassidy Morgan. Take your pick and choose a side. Double agents are always welcome.
In the meantime his assignment is Hadley. Stark knows she's in town. Originally I wanted an Operator on her but it makes more sense to send an unknown. She'd recognize an Op from miles away and it seems prudent to send the only other Op I have after Tristan.
As for our little Italian friend. A dogmatic true believer is just up Dr. Starks alley. I Want her working with him personally. I'd like to write out her being approached by the DNCS.
Virus recreation is what the DNCS' main interest is but it's the reasoning behind it that makes it interesting. They want mutants to combat the mutant threat. If a particularly talented geneticist can whip up something more along the line of forced power induction then that would be interesting to work with. Altered DNA, permanent physical changes. If the admins and mods allowed it, it opens up new doors for super powers and freaks of nature. Experiments gone wrong.
I would prefer if it were taken in a different direction than standard mutations. Say elemental powers, implants, altered brain chemistry and composition.
Celia could even introduce and spearhead new Operators. Not just training and conditioning, but alteration on a physical level. Think along the lines of Spartans from Halo. (I'm a nerd, sue me.)
Meantime, I need Celia to do something groundbreaking to get DNCS attention. After that it's game on.

Well, we've discussed the general idea of it, I guess..? o.o
But yus, I was thinking something along those lines, too. She's already worked within the government for a few years, so that would be the natural move to make, especially if DNCS were to approach her. She'd accept without pause, of course, as she'd see it as a legal way of openly researching the area of science that she loves. But yes! That'd be awesome, and I daresay that working with the head honcho personally would do a lot to inflate that ego of hers. XD This is gonna be great. She'd of course be up for any challenge thrown at her, and this one in particular she'd most liely work day in, day out just to achieve it. She gets rather passionate about her work. o.o
I daresay that she'd begin with the basics, eg. rreplicating the effects of the virus within a person and seeing what sort of ability they procure from it. But she wouldn't be satisfied with that, to be honest. She'd then want to find a way to control the exact abilities bourne from the virus, which as you said would most likely lead to a few failed attempts, which would be interesting.
And yes! I can just imagine her doing that, and PFF SPARTANS. AWESOME REFERENCE, RIGHT THERE. taking great pride in doing so. Although I can imagine that she'd need a bit of assistance in terms of the training, keeping in mind that she can barely wield a gun. But by all means, she'd be up for altering them, physically, in her own way. Once she's abolutely perfected it, though, as she wouldn't allow any attempts at enchancing their abilities until she's positive that it's going to work, precisely as planned. She's a bit of a perfectionist, I guess you could say.
Pff. Yes, I can see her aspirations driving her to do something fairly drastic eventually. Or at least want to. Whether she's actually permitted to do so by her superiors is something different entirely. XD

I thought he would be of some use for the subject :] lol He'll hate the experiments since he doesn't want the possibility of becoming a mutant too if they figure out a way to activate the virus (not to mention being a lab rat sucks. period XD) but he's obedient enough to where they wouldn't have too much problems working with him and getting what they want out of him. And as for field agent and possible OP training, he'll be all for it. He likes proving his power and becoming stronger will be the best way to make up for all this lab shit XD
I'm game :] I'll try to get started as soon as I catch up with my other posts.

I was going to make a police detective, he could join the government group after he comes into contact with some mutant conflict etc. He would himself be a 'good guy', but possibly feel threatened by mutants.
As for Shinji, he could be captured and experimented on, I'm up for that.
