Accepting the phone, Cassidy shook her head very slightly.
"Whatever, cowboy. Don't apologize. You're probably right, anyway. ...One sec."
She used the cell phone as an excuse to avoid Erik's immediate response. She didn't want to hear it. Cassidy had (or, at least, she thought she had) long since graduated from the state of mind where consolation was desired. Now? It was just silly. It was better to just simply accept that she was a screw up and move on.
Pushing herself up with the wall's assistance, it was apparent that she was still feeling the effects of the night's adventures. She was wobbly; unsteady on her feet, even if her speech had somewhat leveled off. Despite this, she didn't seem concerned in the slightest. Nine numbers were pressed in quick succession and she stumbled a few paces away from Erik.
"Ugh. Sebastian? ...Yeah. ...Uh huh. ...Heh... as usual. Er... like, over in the hotels area. ...What? No! I don't need a robe. ...Goddamnit, Sebastian, it isn't like that anymore!" Her shuffling gait took her to the end of the alley and, half-leaning on the wall, she peeked her head out into the main street. "Hasn't been that way in years, and you know it. Uh, hey - like, sorta... in the alley across from... uh... the 24/7 convenience store... uh, just north of the intersection of 62nd and Broad Street. ...No, no, don't tell me what time it is. I don't care. Just... get here. I don' wanna walk anymore. ...Don't you always get paid time-and-a-half for this? ...Yeah, yeah, bye."
With a large sigh, Cassidy clicked the phone off and turned back towards Erik. She seemed rather... slumped as she approached, and she was definitely fiddling with something in her pocket. She'd finished with whatever she was doing by the time she got back to Erik (and her high heels, since she hadn't put them back on) and she promptly extended the phone back to its owner. There was money stuffed in it, somehow. A $100 bill, to be exact.
"Uh... thanks... er... Erik, right?" She reached down, sweeping up her discarded heels. "Look, uh... I dunno what happens to you guys if you get caught, okay? But... it isn't good, whatever it is. So... so, I'd say... at least take it to another hotel tomorrow? Just, ah... in case? It'd just be... real shitty if you got caught cuz of me."
