"Since I was young I tasted sorrow on my tongue." A girl sang nearby, not many people knew her or of her. She was dressed in a purple and black swim suit and looked like an an adult, of course she was not. She appeared to be chain smoking on the beach, putting out her cancer sticks in the ocean. She was surprised the water didn't catch fire with news of all the oil spills.
She got up and looked around, having sworn she came there with her boyfriend. However she saw things that weren't there sometimes and got confused plus she heard voices. She had been tanning but now she could swear she was lost. She forgot if she drove here or a gangster drove her. I came here as a bird. I think. No, I drove..I must of taken a taxi. No, Marco drove me. She was not used to this.
She rarely ever forgot these things and hoped that she would never again. She went on the pier and looked around smirking. She thought how nice it was to fly as a bird be it a big one or small one. It was very pretty looking up at the sky and watching humans that looked like ants doing their things.
She went back to the beach for her things and looked around at others. You could say she was she was in the way, especially of the path of beach joggers. Her purple eyes looked about as her purple hair waved in the breeze.

One, two. Got to keep going, don’t stop. You’re prize of the day is getting a snow cone and swimming in the vast ocean. A smile crossed her face, to think she can finally come out here without her brother or parents having to drop her off and pick her up, to have that diver’s license was heaven for her. The beach was quiet, people were scattered out everywhere; this was a time she took advantage of not having many busy minds around her, even though she only had her power for three years, Delilah knew she still had a long way to go to fully understanding and controlling her own powers. Of course, if she had someone else to compare, she felt she was doing well on building her powers up. Sadly Delilah and her brothers had yet to find anyone not only that but she was also restricted from asking.
Delilah could be compared to a dog, always happy and hyper, not having a care in the world and this restriction was like being told no over and over again.
She turned her head to stare out at the ocean, big and light blue and the afternoon sky. But it only happened so quickly, when one wasn’t paying attention bad things could happen. A girl in front of her, who was also not paying attention, came into contact with Delilah. Smashing into her, Delilah fell back, the air in her bady was also pushed out as she landed on the ground. Her chest raised up and down quickly, as her body was re-learning to breath again, both from jogging and running into a person.
Delilah sat up quickly, her head span as oxygen quickly made its way back to her brain. “I’m so sorry.” She gasped out, holding her head. Delilah blinked a few times to get rid of the spinning shapes in front of her. “Are. Are you ok?” Delilah’s brown eyes showed concerned for the other person. She stopped for a moment and stared in awe, the girl, no woman, was beautiful. Long purple hair and a body to kill, what Delilah would kill to get, who was pretty flat chested and was the mundane short, brown haired girl who could, sometimes, be mistaken for a younger girl.
