The contents of the bag were these things: a wallet with about $300, a credit card, her DNCS security pass, Alice in Wonderland, a rain poncho, and some tissues. She had considered upon packing that the items were rather random, but figured they were all important enough to take. She sighed as she got on a bicycle. She decided that it was time to go to the park.
On the way to the park, Gianna was thinking about work. It had been interesting lately. Navvi was quite the project to work on, and the whole thing seemed off-center to her. Despite this, she was quite pleased with things, even if she had yet to make a true friend. She had always been isolated, so why stop that now? She chuckled. She stopped the bike and bought a tasty looking cookie. Let's change the above amount; she had about $298 in her wallet. Getting back on her bike, she finished her ride to the park.
Once in the park, Gianna wasn't quite sure what to do. That's why she had brought the book; Alice in Wonderland was good reading. "Alice waited a little, half expecting to see it again, but it did not appear, and after a minute or two she walked on in the direction the March Hare was said to live. 'I've seen hatters before,' she said to herself, 'the March Hare will be much the most interesting, and, perhaps, as this is May, it on't be raving mad- at least not as much as it was in March.' As she said this, she looked up, and there was the Cat again sitting on a branch of a tree. 'Did you say 'pig' or 'fig'?' said the Cat."
Suddenly, her reading was interrupted by some sort of commotion. At first, she simply kept on reading ("'I said pig,' replied Alice, 'and I wish you wouldn't keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly: you make one quite giddy!'") However, the noise made the familiar passage become muddled in her head. Although she was practically reading from memory at this point, she still preferred quiet places. Wondering what the commotion was, she got up, looking at a small crowd around a young boy. How queer, she thought, and she went up to see what it was.
